Sleeping Indian (Sheep Mountain)

A group of us hiked the Sleeping Indian yesterday. Still unsure about the distance from the Cache Creek side, but it probably took around 3 hours up, 2 hours down. Great weather, great views.

Pass laps after work.

Mt. Marathon 2011

My official race time was 1 hour, 4 minutes, 54 seconds. I took about 7 minutes off my time from last year. It still wasn't my best time, but I think these were my best results in about 5 years. This was my 8th year in the mens' race, 10th year overall (counting my junior years). I've been getting faster over the last two or three years, so maybe I can continue this trend. Despite having knee problems for a couple weeks leading up to the race, they felt great during. I kept a decent pace going up. I'm too scared to hurt my knees these days so I took it pretty easy coming down and lost a bit of time and a lot of places, but I'm still happy with the results. Until next year Mount Marathon...
