Mel and I spent Sunday and Monday nights camping at the park. There were a lot of elk in the area. We saw two sunsets and one sunrise, all were pretty amazing.

We did a six mile hike along the South Kaibab Trail to Skeleton Point on Monday, May 2. It was hot, with a lot of elevation change. Skeleton Point had some incredible views from way up above the Colorado River. I could see the Bright Angel Campground that I had hiked to last fall from the North Rim. Lots of lizards, cacti, and squirrels.

We left the Grand Canyon early Tuesday morning and headed down to Chandler, Arizona. We stopped for lunch in Sedona, which was a cool (yet very hot) town.
