After a couple months of playing tag, I finally met up with Julian Carr of Discrete Headwear. Julian met me at the tram after work and showed me some new terrain. It blows my mind how much terrain around Jackson I haven't seen yet.
From the tram, we dropped off the back of Tensleep Bowl and traversed to the West Ridge of the Headwall into what I believe is called the Seven Dwarfs. I didn't know the area, so I let Julian lead the way. It seems like there are endless options of little cliffs and chutes to hit. Definitely some more exploring to be had.
From the Seven Dwarfs, we dropped into Granite Canyon, where I lost a ski for the second time during the run. I hadn't had any issues with them releasing previously, so I better double check my bindings. It was frustrating. After collecting myself, we popped into the bottom of C Chute and took the Granite traverse out.
For only being out for a couple of hours, it was a solid run- nice weather, new terrain, and decent snow.

Spock Chutes
I took a lap down the Spock Chute area of Granite with Phil, Shannon, and Mike yesterday. We dropped off the back of AV and skied a line further skiers-left than I had been before. We slowly picked our way down trying to learn the terrain. It was a good scouting mission. The snow was definitely a lot better than anywhere else I've skied recently.

Skiing and Playing
With the recent snow, I was able to get out and ski some good out-of-bounds lines last week. It brought back some stoke to get out and ride. I brought out my old point-and-shoot. Poor quality, but you get the idea.
I hit up the Crags for the first time this season with Mike G and Alex via the Elevator. It was a great first run. Deep pow, a little sun-baked down low, but plenty of untracked snow.
Adam, Mike G, Sara, and I took a lap through Mario Land. Being a boulder field, coverage was much better than expected. Lots of pillows!
Djamal, Alex, and I hiked Cody and hit up No Shadows on Friday. I wanted to hit Puckerface, but with the low visibility and less than average snow coverage, we decided against it. From Cody Bowl, we took the Green River traverse to the Four Pines bootpack and dropped into Pinedale Canyon. It was thigh deep blower. I've had very few bad runs in Pinedale.
Aside from skiing, we had the employee olympics last week and a birthday party at the bowling alley. Photos by Mamie.
