It’s been three years since I started This Is My Adventure. The 2011 calendar was a hit, so here’s round two for 2012. All photos are from my travels during this past year.
I hiked up Death Canyon yesterday with Charlotte. The trail zig-zags up the canyon overlooking Phelps Lake. The walls of the canyon are incredible and tower over the canyon valley. It was a nice easy afternoon hike. We hiked about eight miles round trip.
This is a place where I share photos and stories from my skiing and life adventures with my family and friends.
In the fall of 2008, I decided to take a break from school and start the lifetime adventure that I’ve always wanted to. In my 1983 Mercedes Benz, I made the 3,700 mile drive from Palmer, Alaska down to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I spent three years in Jackson working hard and playing even harder. I received a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Vermont in May of 2010. While I may not have taken the shortest route to graduation, I never gave up and I learned a lot about both myself and life in general during my adventures and travels over those three years.
I recently relocated to Anchorage, Alaska where I’m starting my engineering career. It’s taking some time to get used to the change, but I have no doubts I will continue living the life I love. Follow my blog and see where life takes me as I pursue my passion for adventure.
